Background
Earlier, store associates could mark an order as handed over, but there was no clear way to record who picked it up or how the pickup was verified. To support better tracking at the time of handover, a Proof of Delivery process has been added.
Proof of delivery pop-up
As part of this update, associates will now be able to complete the handover through a Proof of Delivery pop-up, with all pickup details stored in one place, tied to the order.
Recording pickup details
The pop-up lets the associate review the order and record who collected it, either the customer or someone collecting on their behalf. Identity can be confirmed through an ID image, a signature, or a pickup code, and this information is stored with the order.
Pickup confirmation
After the information is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the customer. The email includes order details and the artifacts collected during proof of delivery.
Result
The Proof of Delivery feature provides a clear record of each pickup, along with identity information and the collection details. This helps make handovers easy to track and refer back to when needed.
