HotWax Commerce’s Order Routing App provides a structured routing framework to streamline fulfillment. Retailers can use various order filters and inventory filters to easily configure order routing to meet their needs.

Order filters group orders into batches based on defined criteria, such as queue, shipping method or sales channels.

Previously, retailers had to select all eligible criteria to include orders in a batch. For example, to batch all online orders, each online channel (eCommerce, Instagram, Marketplace) had to be selected individually.

Now, retailers can exclude specific channels to simplify the configuration. For example, to create a batch of all online orders but exclude orders from POS, retailers can use the exclude option to skip POS orders while automatically including those from all other online channels.

After creating an order batch, inventory filters determine which facilities are eligible to fulfill them based on criteria such as proximity, order limits, and stock availability.

Previously, retailers could only include eligible facility groups. For example, to allocate inventory from warehouses and retail stores but exclude outlet stores, they had to individually choose the warehouse and retail store facility groups.

Now, the exclude option allows retailers to skip specific facility groups. For example, to allocate inventory only from warehouses and stores, they can simply exclude outlet stores without selecting other facility groups.

This capability is particularly useful for retailers managing large networks of facilities and when exclude filters are more straightforward than include filters.
