The Fulfillment App has been re-architected to deliver major improvements in performance, stability, and core functionality, making store fulfillment faster and more reliable for associates.
Key Improvements Include:
1. Improved Order Item Listing for Picking and Packing
Previously, some eligible orders were not shown for packing, while some ineligible ones appeared incorrectly. The new design ensures accurate and consistent display of order items for both picking and packing tasks.
2. Inventory Decoupling for Greater Flexibility
Earlier, fulfillment was blocked if inventory appeared unavailable in the app, even if it was physically present. Now, the Fulfillment App no longer depends on inventory availability. Inventory availability and routing are handled solely by the OMS. If associates have the item in hand, they can fulfill the order without restriction.
3. Flexible Shipping Label Handling
Associates were previously blocked if shipping labels could not be generated via third-party integrations. Now, when label generation fails, the app shows a detailed error message with resolution steps. Additionally, associates can manually enter tracking details from an external label, allowing the fulfillment process to continue smoothly.
4. Simplified Navigation for Faster Execution
Navigation steps are now simplified to just one button, making the process clearer and enabling store teams to act faster with minimal training.
