The Re-Route Fulfillment App previously allowed customers to choose their preferred fulfillment option, pick-up, delivery, or cancellation, based on the retailer's product store permissions. With the latest update, retailers can offer customers even more control over how to proceed with their rejected BOPIS orders.
What’s New in the Re-Route Fulfillment App 2.0
-
Splitting Options: Retailers can define whether customers are allowed to split their orders across multiple pickup locations.
-
Splitting Enabled: Customers can choose to pick-up items from different stores or pick-up all order items together from a single store. For example, if a customer’s order includes multiple items that are not all available at a single store, they can assign specific items to different pick-up locations.
-
Splitting Disabled: If customers are not allowed to split their order, they’ll only be shown locations where all items are available.
-
Suggested Pick-Up Locations: The app can now automatically suggest a location where:
-
Locations where all items are in stock.
-
If not available, locations with the most items in stock, closest to the original pick-up point. The app’s new interface also transparently displays the logic behind these suggestions.
-
Handling Globally Out-of-Stock Items: Items unavailable across all locations are grouped under an “Out of Stock” label for clarity. Customers can request cancellations directly for these items if direct customer cancelations are not permitted.
The Re-Route Fulfillment App 2.0 offers greater flexibility for retailers to handle rejected orders, retail sales, and offer customers alternative options to secure their favorite items.
