Role-Based Rejection Reasons

HotWax Commerce apps now display role-based rejection reasons, providing relevant options for users like store associates and CSRs based on their tasks and app context.

HotWax Commerce has introduced role-based rejection reasons to provide context-appropriate options for users when rejecting orders. This update displays rejections reasons that align with the tasks and scenarios relevant to each user role.

For example, store associates using the BOPIS or Fulfillment App can see rejection reasons related to in-store issues, such as out-of-stock items or damaged goods. On the other hand, customer reps using the Order Management System can view a broader set of rejection reasons to address customer-specific scenarios like operational decisions in order routing which override allocations done by the OMS.

Previously, the same set of rejection reasons was displayed to all users, regardless of their role or the app being used.

With this update:

  • Store associates are presented with app-specific rejection reasons related to in-store fulfillment scenarios.

  • CSRs have access to a list suited for managing customer orders.

  • Admin users retain the ability to view all rejection reasons across roles.

This role-based approach allows greater control over the rejection process, making each user only see options relevant to them.
