Managing COD orders requires accurate payment tracking to avoid confusion and streamline the packing process. Carriers collect payments from customers at the time of delivery and later reconcile them with retailers.
With this update, store associates can now view COD payment details directly in the Fulfillment App while packing orders. A “Cash on Delivery” label is displayed for orders with pending COD payments, making it easier to identify them at a glance. The app presents a clear breakdown of payment details, including:
-
Shipment Subtotal: The total cost of items in the shipment.
-
Order Adjustments: Additional charges such as taxes or shipping fees.
-
Other Shipments: The value of items not included in the current shipment.
-
Order Total: The complete order amount, allowing associates to verify billed and pending charges.
For orders with items packed at two different stores, the first store packing the order will have access to all payment details, including order-level adjustments like taxes and shipping fees. The second store will only see payment information relevant to the items they are packing.Orders where additional charges have already been included in another shipment will display a notification, helping associates track adjustments without confusion.
This update provides better visibility into COD payment details, helping store associates avoid potential billing discrepancies while packing orders.
