Introducing Broken Style Sorting

Routing now includes a sorting option that takes partial style availability into account. Facilities with only some variants of a style can be prioritized when allocating orders.

Products like shoes or apparel often come in many variants, such as sizes or colors. Some stores carry a full-size run, while others are left with a broken assortment where only a few variants are available and the rest are sold out.

With the Broken Style sorting, retailers can now route orders to stores with broken assortments for fulfillment, helping sell through fragmented stock while keeping full assortments available in key stores.

For example, if a style has 10 variants and:

Brooklyn has all 10 variants

Bronx has 8 variants

Queens has 4 variants

The order will be routed to Queens for fulfillment. This clears smaller leftover quantities while keeping full-size runs available in important locations for walk-in demand and merchandising.
